It’s that time of year again, when we wave a sad goodbye to our latest brilliant placement student. Sad face. With his last day upon us, and a fair few ciders down last night (natch), we asked Jak for a little insight into the past 365 days. And it was little. We blame those aforementioned ciders…
Tell us about your year at ThirtyThree.
It’s been rewarding. There’s been ups and downs, but they’ve all helped me learn more about the job, industry and myself. I’m glad that I decided to do a placement year and feel like I’m much better prepared for the challenges in the future with this experience under my belt.
What’s been the very best bit? (Other than the social fun times, obvs)
Managing and developing relationships with clients has been quite rewarding, but mainly it’s just being in a creative environment surrounded by some great people.
What have you learned about yourself?
I thought I was organised before, but after working on the most high volume accounts and juggling other responsibilities it’s really opened my eyes as to what I can achieve.
Why and how did you end up doing a placement at ThirtyThree?
So I found this placement on our University placement page and after a bit of background research was really interested. The advert had all the info as to who I needed to speak to so applying was a piece of cake.
So, what’s next for you?
Going back to University to finish off my third year, but before that I’m flying to Hong Kong to chase an egg shaped ball around and work on my tan. Also gorge myself with as much Asian food as possible when I’m over there.
Take us with you?! Bye, Jak. Miss you.
