NEW BEGINNINGS IN BRISTOL: SAY HELLO TO LENNY

Not long ago, we welcomed two new additions to our Client Services team here in Bristol: Lydia and Jenny. Having joined us as Client Co-ordinators in April, we caught up with them to see how they’ve settled in and what they think about life at ThirtyThree so far.

So, what was it about ThirtyThree that made you want to work here?

Lydia: I knew I wanted to work for a creative company and so a colleague referred me. I checked out the website and could tell straight away that it was the kind of place I want to work. Also, the colour red is awesome.

Jenny: Everything! It’s a fun, close-knit agency based in ‘funky’ Bristol – what’s not to love? It’s also been a really exciting time to join, because there are loads of new projects to get involved with.

What was your first day like?

Lydia: My first day was pretty much just chatting to people and reading through things. I had a tasty pizza for lunch too and everyone was really great at welcoming me.

Jenny: It sounds like a bit of a cliché, but I honestly settled in straight away! Everyone here is really approachable and always willing to give you their time – even when they’re super busy!

Any advice for people hoping to land themselves a job in advertising?

Lydia: Don’t be afraid to talk about a range of different things in your interview, including interesting stuff you do in your spare time.

Jenny: It’s really important to be yourself – you need to be enthusiastic and have a can-do attitude.

Where’s the best place to get lunch?

Lydia: I’m addicted to pastry so I go to Parson’s Bakery and get a meal deal which includes a pastry, cake and a drink. Also, pizza. And paninis. And pastry.

Jenny: You can’t beat a cheap and cheerful picnic in the park!

What’s the most important thing you’ve learnt in your first couple of months at ThirtyThree?

Lydia: I’ve learnt lots about all of our clients and loads about the people I work with. I’ve also learnt how to be organised with my emails and most importantly, I now know what a job bag is.

Jenny: To never shy away from asking questions and to make sure you get involved in meetings and exciting projects going through the agency. That’s the best way to learn and gain an insight into what’s going on!

How would you describe ThirtyThree in three words?

Lydia: Chilled. Supportive. Colourful.

Jenny: Small. Mighty. Red.
